All Saints is a Grade I listed Victorian Gothic church in central Hove. A proudly inclusive place of worship, it's also a much-loved community space. Open daily, it's home to a local cafe, toddler stay-and-play groups, refugee support, a choir for those facing homelessness, and concerts of all genres. As All Saints approached its 125th anniversary, the team was looking for support to develop a landmark fundraising campaign.
We began by spending time at the church with those who used the space. One thing became clear: All Saints is where lives cross paths. For 125 years, it has held faith and grief, coffee mornings and concerts, intricate stonework and Lego blocks under one roof. This insight formed the foundation of our campaign proposition ‘125 years at the heart of Hove’, positioning the church as a rich tapestry, where threads of the community come together. Under this idea, we developed four giving pillars (worship, music, friends and family, and the building) with supporting headlines, messaging and dedicated calls-to-action. We then brought this visual metaphor to life in the identity. We developed a quilt-like grid stitchng together photography, colour and motifs drawn from the church’s stonework, windows and textiles. The palette sits warmly alongside All Saints’ signature red, with secondary colours that draw from the moments throughout the day – from Hove's sunrise to vibrant evening concerts.
Ahead of launch, we turned the idea into a brand playbook and a kit of parts the team could run with in-house. We delivered print-ready posters, pull-up banners, handouts, postcards and café coasters. Community cards invite visitors to pin their story to a patchwork wall and a dedicated /125 page makes giving once or monthly simple. We also created Instagram posts and the church’s first brand film is currently underway, to bring the campaign to social and web. All Saints now has a campaign that feels unmistakably its own, and a clear way to turn goodwill into giving for the next 125 years.
